FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH. Octavo. 192 pp. Book Condition: Near Fine. Jacket Condition: Very Good. Publishers’ black cloth with gilt titles to spine in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket with rare wrap-around band proclaiming “First publication in English”. Boards very lightly bruised to edge with minor bump at head of spine; toning to endpapers and light toning to text as usual (though lighter than is common). No annotation or inscriptions. Jacket and band surface soiled particularly to spine and to rear and edges a little rubbed and creased.
Translated by I O Evans. Scarce science-fiction title featuring a band of travellers, published shortly after Verne’s death in 1905 and here translated into English for the first time.
