Quarter tan calf with purple reeded cloth by Remnant & Edmonds of London; gilt titles and fox mask motif to upper board. Spine scuffed with very minor loss at head and small loss (approx 1/2 an inch) at tail; boards a little bruised at corners and edges with rectangular mark where label has been removed to upper board. Inner front hinge has 3 small cracks but is very firmly holding. A little foxing and staining, mainly to frontispiece and rear endpapers; p 185 onwards creased at tip of lower corner. Binders’ ticket to rear pastedown.
