Reprint. Octavo, pp 35, [1]. Fold-out greasing diagram. Original blue cloth with black titles to upper board. Covers soiled and creased with wear to spine and corners; a slightly shaken copy with weak inner hinges but holding. A few oily fingermarks but no annotation or inscriptions. Overall a well-used but good copy.
The classic Bentley Three Litre was a car chassis manufactured by Bentley and made available to individual customers’ coachbuilders for completion of the bodywork. Larger than many contemporary racing vehicles, the Bentley’s power made up for its weight and models won prizes throughout the 1920s; rival Bugatti memorably described it as “the fastest lorry in the world”. A highly prestigious model aimed at the very top of the market, it gained an enviable reputation and customers included the Duke of Kent. Scarce.
