Spine creased, and worn at tips; boards bruised to edge and soiled with wear at corners and very small loss to paper. A shaken copy with weak inner hinges. Ownership inscription in ink with address of Miss Pricilla Kingston of Cambridge, dated 1874, to front pastedown, with “Thou God Seest Me” inscribed to rear pastedown in the same hand. Scatterd foxing and fingermarking.
Abridged edition adapted from the 1772 anonymous publication “Due Preparations for the Plague”, now attributed to Defoe. A worthy text highly suitable for Sunday reading by the devout.
