FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp 96. 30 mainly photographic illustrations within text plus 18 numbered photographic plates entitled “ A Boxing Lesson”. Original stapled red pictorial paper wraps with advertisements inside covers. Lightly sunned to spine but still bright; minor creasing to covers and very small split across spine. Very minor creasing to upper corners throughout, affecting margin only. No annotation or inscriptions. A Very Good copy.
Biography of boxing legend Griffo from early days in Australia to his death in America in 1927 aged 56, well illustrated with images of contemporary luminaries of pugilism. Scarce, particularly in this condition in original wrappers.
