Adult edition seven volume boxed set. Octavo, pp. 223, 251, 317, 636, 766, 607, 607. Black cloth with gilt titles to spine in matching pictorial dust-jackets. Housed in single printed card slipcase with silk ribbon opener. All SIGNED uniformly by the Author to title page in black ink with a BLOOMSBURY SIGNATURE AUTHENTICATION HOLOGRAPHIC STICKER to verso of each half-title. All volumes and jackets in fine condition and appear unread. Slipcase scuffed to edge with minor split to paper at lower edge and bruised lower corner. Famously J. K. Rowling was once an impoverished single mother and, wishing to give something back, she is renowned for her charitable work (almost exclusively with children’s charities) including Great Ormond St. Hospital, Lumos, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the single parent’s charity Gingerbread amongst many others. This complete set of the adult edition was signed by J. K. Rowling for a Meningitis Research Foundation Fundraising event in Aberdeen on June 17th 2011. It is exceeding difficult to obtain a complete set of the Harry Potter novels signed by J. K. Rowling, especially so when signed uniformly in one sitting and with the cast iron provenance of the Bloomsbury holographic stickers to authenticate the signatures.
