Original red cloth with black titles and Chamber of Commerce crest to upper board. Tyne Improvement Commission Folder Plan of the River Tyne loosely inserted.
Spine lightly sunned; lower board damp stained at lower corner with associated staining to rear pastedown and last few leaves. Slightly shaken with cracked inner front hinge. No annotation or inscriptions. A Good copy.
Follow-up to the 1908 “River Tyne: Its Advantages and Possibilities”, the highly successful publication aimed at a commercial and industrial market both inland and worldwide, and bringing it up to date to include developments in coal-mining, shipping, iron and steel and other engineering industries.
