Facsimile title page from the 1726 First Edition; 19 plates including 4 facsimile maps also reproduced from the First Edition, plus numerous illustrations throughout text by Rene Bull. Publishers’ maroon pictorial cloth, blocked in cream, blue and black with gilt titles to spine and upper board, in original unclipped cream pictorial dust-jacket. Cover cloth bright, though a little bruised at spine tips and corners. Free endpapers toned otherwise contents clean with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket toned and slightly surface soiled, with minor loss at spine tips. A Near Fine copy in Very Good jacket.
All four Voyages of Gulliver “Slightly modified here and there to suit modern taste”, with an Introduction giving the strange history of the book. An attractive and scarce edition of Gulliver, made all the more so for having retained its original 1915 dust-jacket.
