Publishers’ maroon cloth with gilt titles and decoration to spine. Spine slightly toned and creased with 2 cm horizontal split near tail and minor wear at tips; boards lightly scuffed with wear to corners. Ex-library copy with stamp to reverse of frontispiece but no pockets etc. Pictorial bookplate of H. S. Harrison to front paste-down; a little marginal annotation in pencil, and many leaves corner-creased at tips. A Good copy. Biography of the Bonnie Earl, executed in 1716 for his part in the Jacobite rebellion of 1715, with further chapters on his younger brother Charles, executed in 1746 for his part in the Jacobite rebellion of 1745. £45.00
