Polished half-calf with 4 raised bands, gilt titles to black labels to spine and marbled paper-covered boards with matching marbled endpapers. Spines lightly sunned and scuffed; minor wear at corners and spine tips. Armorial bookplate to each front paste-down; newspaper clipping to verso ffep Vol I relating to Dr. Johnson’s founding of the Berwickshire Naturalists’ Club. Scattered light foxing, a little heavier to prelims and later leaves; repait to hinge p. 313-4 and pp. 323-326 detached. A Good set.
