FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. 189, [1]. Frontispiece portrait of the author. Bound in sage green cloth with brown spine titles and with the original publishers’ dustjacket. Cloth is slightly sunned, otherwise book is tight, square and clean. Dustjacket price-clipped with very slight wear to top spine-tip, bright and without tears. Overall Very Good in Very Good.
 
A key figure in the Irish modernist movement, Flann O’Brien counted James Joyce, Graham Greene, and Dylan Thomas amongst his admirers. The Further Cuttings from Cruiskeen Lawn is a hilarious selection of O’Brien’s satirical writings taken from his column in the Irish Times, covering the the post-war period of 1947-1957.
