Cloth rubbed and lightly soiled with no tears, pastedown papers at hinges cracked but firm and secure. Light scattered foxing to prelims and back endpapers. Some passages underlined and annotated in pencil in an early twentieth century hand. A tight, square, Very Good copy.
Unusual early thantalogical study following a traumatic near death experience. Anonymously published by A. C. Benson, who is perhaps better known for his prolific ghost story writing, and posthumously attributed “psychotic episodes”, vividly describes visual and auditory hallucinations, ruminations,and his life flashing before him.
