Publishers’ tan cloth with black titles to spine and upper board and Red Cross symbol to upper board. British Red Cross copy with their red ink Salonika stamp to paste-down endpapers, half-title and title page. Cover cloth creased and a little surface soiled; textblock edge and endpapers lightly foxed and leaves lightly creased to margin. A very good copy overall.
Guide to treatment of gun-shot wounds, nerves and joints, with chapters on bone grafts and fractures; this copy was used during the 1915-1918 Salonika campaign in the Balkans. The author’s slip refers to several chapters having appeared in the 1916 British Medical Journal, and that this is the first edition in book form.
