LIMITED EDITION: Number 178 of 980 numbered copies only. Folio, pp., [i-xxxi], [7], 4-419, [1]. Printed in double-column. With 20 colour plates by Simon Noyes including frontispiece, each tipped-in to mount leaf. Full deep maroon morocco with 5 raised bands and gilt titles to spine, housed in substantial cloth-covered slipcase. Clean and bright, apparently unread, with no annotation or inscriptions. Slipcase ever so slightly scuffed with faint red marks to one face (presumably from proximity to another volume). A fine copy in near fine slipcase.
Handsome edition of the classic and influential Old Norse poetry collection in alliterative verse, an important source of mythology and legends. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
