Publisher’s electric blue cloth with black titles to spines. A little bruising to corners and spine tips, a hint of rubbing to titles, page edges toned with foxing to upper edges. No annotations or inscriptions; very good.

She co-founded the Theosophical Society, wrote prolifically on esotericism, and personally introduced Mahatma Ghandi and Leon Trotsky to Theosophy. Blavatsky was the first Euro-American woman to formally convert to Buddhism and was greatly responsible for the expansion of interest in Buddhism in the West. Indeed, she claimed much of the material for “The Secret Doctrine” came from tantric trance communication with the Mahatmas of Tibet.
